4th & Inchez : Nigerian Hip Hop Superstars from Houston, Texas Wednesday, 02.03.2011, 07:35am (GMT) 4th and Inchez is a talented Hip-hop group comprised of three members
who go by the names B Verse, Pluto Nash and Kizza. All three emcee’s
are of Nigerian decent but currently reside in one of the country’s
largest live music scenes: Houston, Texas. This city has produced many
hip hop and R&B heavy weights and now 4th and Inchez is poised to
make their mark on the music industry. Their distinctive sound comes
from a fusion of cultural influences from Africa and the unmistakable
southern style of Houston rap and R&B with a twist of east coast.
This unique combination of styles has become the signature of 4th and
Inchez music. ![]() On their own, 4th and Inchez has recorded and produced two mix tapes titled No Fly Zone and Lag-City, which began generating exposure for the group and creating a buzz on the local music scene in Houston. B Verse, Pluto Nash, and Kizza have also merged their talents with three other up-and-coming Houston rappers by collaborating to form The Union Muzic Group. For eight months, The Union spent countless hours in the studio and produced three successful mix tapes. During this time the group expanded their already growing fan base and loyal street following in Houston through their music and live performances. The Unions very first single “My Banana” (We Loco) was produced by Pluto Nash and received over 3,000 downloads in its first week alone. 4th and Inchez is back to their original trio and released their first album as a group in spring 2010. The album titled Point of View (P.O.V.) was released on Itunes in April and was available for download on the groups’ website 4thandInchez.com. Their single “Shawty Wanna Go” Ft. D Wreck received the highest number of downloads and was featured in a music video for Indmix.com. Currently, 4th and Inchez is hard at work marketing and promoting their music by hitting the streets and distributing thousands of CD’s on college campuses, night clubs and at their own performances. They have also been busy writing and recording new music for their upcoming album and mix tapes expected to be released in early 2011. 4th and Inchez has also taken their act on the road performing in live shows all over south Texas in cities including Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Beaumont. They have opened for many big name artists including Rick Ross, Fabolous, Dorrough, and Gucci Mane. More recently, the group was invited to perform at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas as the opening act for two shows featuring Houston’s own Slim Thug and recording artist Talib Kweli. They were also feature performers in Frontline Tours 1 and 2 in Houston where they entertained in front of packed audiences. 4th and Inchez stock is on the rise and with their talents in high demand they have numerous performances on the horizon, further expanding their already impressive resume. The members of 4th and Inchez have each dedicated their time and talents to reaching their goal of delivering their music to the world. They have developed a large local fan base and have now set their sights on gaining more wide spread recognition.
