
Following a reported endorsement deal with Pepsi
International, world-famous and 10-time Grammy- winning hip-pop group,
the Black Eyed Peas will be performing live to millions of Nigerian
fans in a matter of months.
The group, which
will be headlining the Pepsi Black, Blue and You tour between September
and November 2007, have just signed a deal that will have them lead
publicity campaigns for Pepsi and Doritos throughout 2007 and 2008. and
after selling over 20 million units worldwide, the rave group will
spend over 90 days, towards the end of this year, touring over thirteen
countries including Russia, Romania, Hungary, Sweden, Poland, Nigeria,
South Africa, Brazil, Venezuela, Guatemala, Mexico, Thailand and
Australia.
According to sources, the tour will be sponsored
by Pepsi, in conjunction with the new 'Pepsi More' advertising
campaign, featuring The Black Eyed Peas. The song More in fact is a
promo single just for new pepsi spot. The drink manufacturters are
however, yet to make a formal announcement.
It
would be Black Eyed Peas' first time in Nigeria, where fans are
extremely familiar with their hits 'Where is the Love', 'Pump it' and
'Let's get it Started'. The group is currently composed of William,
Apldeap, Taboo, and Fergie.
