Saturday, 03.06.2006, 02:04pm (GMT)

The Angolan singer Henrique Jai Jaihbolé, from southern Huíla Province, will present this Saturday his first CD entitled "Yipongoloka Ongola Yetu", after working on the album for almost fifteen years.

In an interview to ANGOP, in Lubango, the musician said that the 15-track album, sung in Umbundu, Kimbundu, English and Portuguese, has melodic styles such as Semba, Zouk, Tarrachinha and slow tune.

Recorded in Angola and South Africa, the artist stressed that his lyrics reflect the change of negative attitude, as well as advice for a positive way of thinking, for the development of Angola.

A native of the central Huambo Province, the singer aged 33 has been living in the Lubango city for eight years and dedicates this album to his homeland. In his CD the emphasis goes to tracks like Ukulu Mbeu, Ndilinga Ndati and Baby I Love You.

In an initial phase, he informed that 1,300 copies will be sold in Huíla, Huambo, Bié, Benguela and Namibe, in a tour already started.

Henriques has already participated in the 2002 edition of the state owned television "TPA" national music contest "Gala à Sexta-feira".
